Questions :
- How long have you had the bike? This will determine how old the fob battery is.
- Is it an ADV or WRK bike? WRK bikes are harder to know if the key fob turned the bike into ACC
- Disconnect and reconnect the battery, do you hear a beep when reconnected?
- Do you have a spare key fob that works?
- Is the bike in security mode?
- Have you replaced the CR2032 battery within the key fob before?
- Is the key fob new? It may need to be paired to the bike via the app if it didn't come with the bike.
- Press the fob button for 1-2 seconds, did anything happen?
- Do you have the latest version of the app?
Replacing battery :
- Remove the silicone cover from the key fob.
- Use a pick or small flathead screwdriver to carefully pry and separate the two sides of the key fob.
- Before removing the battery, take note of the orientation of + /-
- If the bike is in security mode and the customer has lost both key fobs, they will not be able to pair a new fob as the bike needs to be on for the app to connect / pair a new key fob.
- The battery will only be able to slide in/out one way, use the small pick/screwdriver to help remove the battery from the holder.
- Install the new battery in the correct orientation, and reassemble key fob. The cell battery should be installed with the flat side up.
- Check to see whether the bike now turns on with a new battery installed.
